Kimberly Cochran, MD

Associate Lead Hospitalist

Dr. Cochran served as Associate Lead Physician on ANW Hospitalist Executive Committee from 2012-2017. She returns to this role in 2022.


Experience

Dr. Cochran completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2000. She completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Minnesota in 2004. She then served as Chief Resident at the Minneapolis VA Hospital from 2004-2005. Dr. Cochran has been a Med-Peds hospitalist at ANW since 2005. She has served as a longstanding member of the hospitalist group’s Schedule Committee and New Hire Committee, and has also served as chair of New Hire Committee. She has participated in various work groups and task forces for both ANW and ANW Hospitalist Service. She was also a member of ANW ED Peer Review from 2017-2022.

Interests

Dr. Cochran’s professional interests include medical care of complex pediatric and adult patients, resident/medical student education, DE&I, and physician burnout solutions. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, puzzling, and supporting democracy.
